Car
If you are driving from Krimml Waterfalls, head southeast on B165 towards Krimml. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn left onto the road marked for Krimmler Kees. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area. There may be a small parking fee of around €3 for the day. From the parking area, you can hike the remaining distance to Krimmler Kees.
Public Transportation
From Krimml Waterfalls, walk to the nearest bus stop (approximately 5 minutes from the base of the waterfalls). Take the local bus that heads towards Krimmler Kees. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as the frequency may vary. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Upon arrival at the designated bus stop for Krimmler Kees, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the site. Be aware that a small fee for the bus ticket (about €2-€3) will apply.
Hiking
For those who wish to hike to Krimmler Kees from the waterfalls, start at the main trail leading from the waterfalls. It is a scenic hike of roughly 3 kilometers that takes about 1 hour. The hike is moderately challenging, so wear appropriate footwear and bring water. This option is free, but make sure to check the weather conditions before you go.
