If you're driving, start from the center of Lavanttal. Head southeast on the B70 towards Ruden. Follow the B70 for about 15 km. As you approach Ruden, take a slight left onto Weißenegg. Continue on this road for about 1.5 km until you reach Ruine Weissenegg, which will be on your left. There is limited parking available near the ruins.
Public Transportation
To reach Ruine Weissenegg by public transportation, take a train from Lavanttal to Ruden. Check the ÖBB website for the latest train schedules. Once you arrive at Ruden train station, exit and walk towards the main road (B70). From there, you can catch a local bus towards Weißenegg. Get off at the Weißenegg stop, and from there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Ruine Weissenegg. Make sure to verify the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Walking
If you're already in Ruden and prefer to walk, start from the town center and head towards B70. Follow the road south until you reach Weißenegg. The walk will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven in some areas.
