From Linz city center, walk to the main bus station (Linz Hauptbahnhof). Take Bus 101 towards Mauthausen. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mauthausen, disembark at the 'Mauthausen Zentrum' stop. From there, walk along the Hauptstraße for about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Erinnerungsstraße, where the Mauthausen Memorial is located at number 1.
Train
Head to Linz Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take a train towards St. Valentin and get off at Mauthausen station. The train ride takes about 25 minutes. After you arrive at Mauthausen station, exit and walk about 20 minutes towards the center of Mauthausen. Follow the signs leading to the Mauthausen Memorial, which is situated at Erinnerungsstraße 1.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Linz. From the city center, head towards the Danube River and follow the cycling path along the river. Continue cycling towards Mauthausen, which is about 15 kilometers away. The ride should take about 1 hour. Upon reaching Mauthausen, follow the signs to the Mauthausen Memorial, located at Erinnerungsstraße 1.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk from Linz to Mauthausen. Start at the Linz city center and head towards the Danube River. Follow the river path for approximately 15 kilometers, which will take about 3 hours.
