Public Transport - Bus
From Linz main train station (Linz Hauptbahnhof), take the bus number 33 towards 'Pöstlingberg'. The bus stop is located just outside the main entrance of the train station. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the 'Zoo Linz' stop, which is directly in front of the zoo entrance.

From Linz main train station (Linz Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 towards 'Pöstlingberg'. Board the tram from the stop located just outside the train station. After about 15 minutes, transfer at the 'Rathausplatz' stop to bus number 33 towards 'Pöstlingberg'. Stay on the bus for 5 minutes and get off at the 'Zoo Linz' stop.

If you are in the city center, you can take a scenic walk to the zoo. Start at the Hauptplatz (Main Square) and head towards the Danube River. Follow the riverbank walkway northwest until you reach the bridge (Nibelungenbrücke). Cross the bridge and continue straight, following the signs to Pöstlingberg. The walk will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes, but you'll enjoy beautiful views along the way.
