Car
If you're driving from Mostviertel, take the B1 road towards Krems. Continue on B1 for approximately 40 kilometers. When you reach the town of Senftenberg, follow the signs to 'Burgruine Senftenberg.' The castle is located at Kirchenberg 12, 3541 Senftenberg. There is parking available near the entrance, which may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, start by taking a regional train from a central location in Mostviertel to St. Pölten. From St. Pölten, transfer to a train heading towards Krems an der Donau. Disembark at the Senftenberg train station. From there, you can either walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to the castle, following local signs, or take a short taxi ride, which should cost around €10.
Walking
If you have arrived by public transport, and wish to walk from the Senftenberg train station to Burgruine Senftenberg, head south on Kirchenberg Straße towards the town center. Continue straight, following the signs for Burgruine Senftenberg. The walk is about 20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
