    From Puchberg am Schneeberg, take Bus 181 to Losenheim, Sesselbahn (chairlift). The Schneeberg chairlift operates from Losenheim and brings you close to Edelweißhütte. Check the operating hours and prices on the Schneebergbahn website. A one way trip up the mountain will cost approximately 26.50 EUR.

    Walking

    From Losenheim, follow the well-marked hiking trails to Edelweißhütte. The hike takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. From the parking lot in Losenheim (elevation 850m), the hike to Edelweißhütte (elevation 1235m) is short and easy, and takes approximately 40-60 minutes. There are free parking spaces for 10-12 cars. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and check weather conditions before you start.

Severely damaged during WWII, it was later acquired by the Alpenverein Edelweiss in 1960. Over the years, it has been expanded and modernized, offering comfortable accommodations and a traditional Austrian dining experience.Today, the Edelweißhütte is a popular destination for hikers, nature lovers, and those seeking a peaceful retreat. The hut offers overnight accommodations with 12 beds and 20 dormitory spaces. The location serves traditional Austrian dishes and drinks, providing a taste of local cuisine amidst breathtaking scenery. It is typically open from late April to early November, and from late November to early April, with some closures on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.The Edelweißhütte is more than just a mountain hut; it's a place to connect with nature, enjoy Austrian hospitality, and experience the beauty of the Schneeberg region.
