Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, which is Linz. Head north on the A7 highway towards Freistadt. After approximately 40 km, take the exit towards Freistadt. Continue on B310 for about 10 km until you reach the town of Haselgruber. Once in Haselgruber, follow the signs for Hochbuchetfelsen. The parking area is located close to the entrance to the hiking trails. Note that parking may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the train from Linz to Freistadt, which takes about 45 minutes. From Freistadt train station, catch bus line 123 towards Haselgruber. The bus journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Haselgruber stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 km to Hochbuchetfelsen. Follow the signs for the hiking trails, and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, you can access Hochbuchetfelsen via various hiking trails. Starting from Haselgruber, follow the marked trails which are well maintained and offer beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The hike to Hochbuchetfelsen typically takes around 30 minutes from the town center.
