Car
From any location in Mühlviertel, head towards the A7 motorway. If you're in towns like Freistadt or Bad Leonfelden, follow the signs to Linz. Once on the A7, follow it until you reach the exit for Linz. Continue on the B139 and follow the signs towards the city center (Innenstadt). As you approach Linz, you will see signs for Schlossberg. Find parking nearby, as the museum is located at Schlossberg 1, 4020 Linz. The museum is within walking distance from most parking areas.
Public Transportation
If you are taking public transportation, make your way to the nearest train station in Mühlviertel, such as Freistadt or Bad Leonfelden. Board a train heading to Linz, which typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Linz Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station), exit the station and walk to the tram stop located just outside. Take tram line 1 towards 'Linz, Pleschinger See' or tram line 3 towards 'Linz, Auwiesen'. Get off at the stop 'Landstraße' and walk approximately 10 minutes to Schlossberg 1, where the Schlossmuseum Linz is located. Follow the signs in the city for 'Schlossmuseum' to guide you.
