Public Transport
To reach Hannoverhaus using public transport, take a train to Mallnitz-Obervellach station. From the station, a bus (Line 5114) or taxi can take you to the Ankogelbahn cable car valley station. Take the Ankogelbahn cable car up to the mountain station. From there, it's a 15-minute walk to Hannoverhaus. Train tickets from Mallnitz-Obervellach to Wien Hbf cost €95-140. A taxi from Mallnitz train station to the Ankogelbahn valley station costs approximately €10-15. A single ride on the Ankogelbahn cable car costs around €20-25.

If driving, head towards Mallnitz. From Munich, take the A8 to Salzburg, then the A10 Tauernautobahn. Exit at Bischofshofen, Gasteinertal, and follow routes 311 and 167 to Bad Gastein/Böckstein. Continue to Mallnitz and the Ankogelbahn car park. From the Ankogelbahn valley station, take the cable car to the mountain station and walk 15 minutes to Hannoverhaus. Parking at the Ankogelbahn valley station is available. Expect to pay around €5-10 for parking.

From the Ankogel cable car mountain station, it's a 15-minute downhill walk to the hut.
