If arriving by bus from Salzburg, disembark at the Hallstatt Lahn bus stop. From there, it's approximately a 15-20 minute walk to the viewpoint via Gosaumühlstraße. Alternatively, from the Hallstatt train station, take the ferry across the lake to the village. The ferry costs around €3 per person. Upon arrival at the Hallstatt Markt ferry stop, walk along the lakefront and then follow Gosaumühlstraße to the viewpoint.
