    The Top Mountain Crosspoint is located on the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road. From Gurgl, follow the Timmelsjochstraße. The drive is approximately 9 km and takes about 15 minutes. Note that the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road is a toll road. As of 2025, a single car passage costs €19. A return ticket costs €26 and is valid for the entire season. Free parking is available at Top Mountain Crosspoint.

    From Ötztal-Bahnhof train station, take a public bus to Obergurgl. Buses run frequently, approximately every half hour. From Obergurgl, take another bus towards Hochgurgl. Get off at the Top Mountain Crosspoint. Bus tickets can be purchased on board. A single journey from Ötztal-Bahnhof to Obergurgl costs approximately €10-€15. Holders of the Ötztal Inside Summer Card can use the bus for free.

The building was designed by architect Michael Brötz to resemble a snow cornice, integrating it into the alpine landscape. The Scheiber family, who are also the owners of the Hochgurgl ski resort, are behind this unique concept.
