Getting There

  • Walking

    Mirabell Gardens is easily accessible on foot from most central locations in Salzburg. From the Salzburg Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof), exit and head west toward Schwarzstraße. Turn left onto Schwarzstraße, then right onto Rainerstraße until you reach Mirabellplatz. The garden entrance is at Mirabellplatz 3. From Getreidegasse, walk towards the Salzburg Cathedral, through Kapitelplatz towards Mirabellplatz, crossing the Salzach River. No costs are associated with walking.

  • Public Transport

    From Salzburg Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof), take bus line 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 or 25 towards Mirabellplatz. Get off at the 'Mirabellplatz' stop, a short walk from the garden entrance at Mirabellplatz 3. Tram line 1 from 'Hauptbahnhof' or 'Paracelsusstraße' also stops at 'Mirabellplatz'. A single bus or tram ticket costs approximately €1 - €2.

  • Parking

    If driving, use the A1 highway and take the exit towards Salzburg-West, following signs for Zentrum (City Center). Park at nearby facilities like Mirabell-Garage or Altstadt Garage. Expect parking fees of around €1.50 per hour. Alternatively, the Mirabell-Congress-Garage is close to the Mirabell Gardens. Note that parking is unavailable on Thursdays due to the market.
