At the Burghausen train station, take bus line 1 towards 'Burghausen Altstadt' (the old town). The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Burghausen Altstadt'. From there, follow the signs leading to Burghausen Castle, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.

After getting off the bus at 'Burghausen Altstadt', walk towards the old town center. Head up the hill towards the castle. You'll pass through charming streets lined with shops and cafes. The castle is situated on a ridge and is visible from a distance. Continue walking up the path signposted for 'Burg Burghausen'. The walk will take about 15 minutes, and you will reach the castle entrance.
