Travel Guide to Curaplatz

Getting There

• Walking

  From the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the building and head west toward the Mirabellplatz. Walk straight for about 15 minutes through the Mirabell Gardens, enjoying the beautiful landscaping. Once you reach the end of the gardens, continue straight onto the Rainerstraße, passing by the Rainer Church. Continue on Rainerstraße until you reach the intersection with the Linzer Gasse. Turn left onto Linzer Gasse and follow it until you reach the Salzach River. Cross the river using the Salzachbrücke (bridge) and continue straight on the other side until you reach the intersection with the Franz-Josef-Straße. From there, you can catch a bus or tram to reach your final destination.

• Public Transport

  Starting from the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, take the bus number 5 or 25 from the bus stop located just outside the train station. You will need to get off at the 'Südtiroler Platz' stop (around 5 minutes ride). From there, transfer to bus number 2 or 9, which will take you directly to the 'Curaplatz' stop. The entire trip should take approximately 25 minutes depending on the time of day.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle in Salzburg, start from the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof and head toward the Salzach River. Follow the cycle path along the riverbank heading south for about 20 minutes. You'll pass by various scenic spots, including parks and walking paths. Keep going until you reach the area near the intersection with Linzer Gasse. From there, you should be able to find signs directing you to Curaplatz. The ride should take about 30 minutes in total, depending on your pace.
