Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the historic Old Town (Altstadt) of Salzburg, head towards the Salzach River. Once you reach the river, walk along the riverbank heading south. You will pass the famous Salzach River promenade. Continue walking until you reach the Makartsteg bridge. Cross the bridge to the other side of the river. Once you cross, you will find yourself on the right bank. From there, walk straight towards Alter Markt, which is a short 5-minute walk. You will see the square bustling with activity and cafes.

If you're starting from the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take bus number 1 or 2 towards 'Mirabellplatz'. Get off at 'Mirabellplatz' stop.
