Walking
If you are starting from Mirabell Palace, exit the palace and head towards the Mirabell Gardens. Walk through the gardens and exit through the main gate onto Mirabellplatz. From there, walk straight towards the bridge (Makartsteg) that crosses the Salzach River. Cross the bridge and continue straight ahead into the Old Town (Altstadt). Keep walking until you reach the Residenza square. From Residenza square, walk towards Domplatz. The Salzburg Cathedral is located at Domplatz 1a.

If you are starting from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), catch bus number 1 or 2 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Hanuschplatz'.
