If you are driving from Schladming, take the B320 road heading north for about 15 km until you reach the junction for the L722 road. Turn onto L722 towards Ramsau am Dachstein. Continue on L722 until you see signs for Gjaidstein. Follow the signs for Schildlehen, and after approximately 5 km, you will arrive at Gjaidstein, located at 8972 Schildlehen. There is no parking fee at Gjaidstein.

From Schladming, take the bus number 960 towards Ramsau am Dachstein. The bus departs from the Schladming bus station. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the Schildlehen stop. From the bus stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to Gjaidstein. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may vary, especially on weekends. A single journey ticket costs around €3.50.
