Public Transport

From Schladming train station, take the Citybus towards Planet Planai. The bus stop is located a short walk from the train station. The ride takes approximately 5 minutes, and buses run frequently. From Planet Planai, the Planai Bergbahn valley station is a short walk away. Bus fare is approximately €2-3.

Walking

From the Schladming town center, the Planai Bergbahn valley station is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Follow the main street (Coburgstraße) towards the Planai stadium. The valley station is located next to the stadium. The walk is mostly flat and well-signposted.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Schladming. A taxi ride from the train station or town center to the Planai Bergbahn valley station takes approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare is around €10-15.

Parking

If driving, park at the Planai multi-story car park or underground car park near the Planai Valley Station. Parking P3 in the Erzherzog-Johann-Straße is centrally located and costs €11.20 per day. There are approximately 250 parking spaces available at the Planai stadium. Some parking spaces offer e-charging stations.

The Planai Schladming Bergbahn, located in the heart of the Schladming-Dachstein region of Austria, serves as the primary access point to the Planai mountain, a hub for both winter and summer activities. As part of the 4-Berge-Skischaukel (4-Mountain Ski Area), Planai is interconnected with Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm, offering an extensive network of slopes for skiers and snowboarders.In winter, Planai transforms into a skiers' paradise, offering diverse slopes and modern lifts. It has hosted World Cup races and the Alpine Ski World Championships in 2013. The mountain features the Hopsi Winterkinderland for children and challenging slopes for experienced skiers.During the summer months, Planai becomes a haven for hikers and mountain bikers. The Bikepark Schladming offers 42 kilometers of trails for all skill levels, including a Flowline for beginners and families. Hopsiland Planai, an adventure park at the mountain top, provides entertainment for families with attractions like a marble run and slides. The Planai also offers panoramic hiking trails with scenic views.The Planai Schladming Bergbahn itself is a modern 10-seater cable car with panoramic windows, providing a comfortable and scenic ride to the summit. The base station is easily accessible from the town of Schladming.
