Getting there

Walking

From the Semmering train station, follow the marked hiking trails towards Weinzettelwand. The trails are well-signed, and the hike to the area takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, offering scenic views along the way. Be prepared for some uphill sections. Alternatively, from the Passhöhe Semmering (Semmering Pass), you can walk along the Bahnwanderweg (railway hiking trail) in the direction of Breitenstein. This path leads directly to the Weinzettelwand area and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The walk from Passhöhe to Weinzettelwand takes about 1 hour.

Public Transport

Take a train to Semmering Bahnhof (train station). From there, you can either walk to Weinzettelwand following the hiking trails (approximately 1.5-2 hours) or take a local bus towards Passhöhe Semmering (Semmering Pass) and start your hike from there, shortening the walking distance to approximately 1 hour. A single bus fare from Semmering Bahnhof to Passhöhe Semmering costs around €2-3.

Driving

Drive to Semmering Passhöhe (Semmering Top). There is limited parking available at Passhöhe Semmering. From there, follow the Bahnwanderweg (railway hiking trail) towards Weinzettelwand (approximately 1-hour walk). Parking fees at Passhöhe Semmering are approximately €3-5 per day.
