Getting there

Public Transport

From the Sölden Postamt bus stop (the main bus station), Camping Sölden is approximately a 5-minute walk. Head northwest on Dorfstraße, then turn left onto Wohlfahrtstraße. The campsite will be on your left. Local bus services connect Sölden to nearby towns and the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. A single bus ticket from Ötztal Bahnhof to Sölden costs approximately €7.20. If you have an Ötztal Guest Card, bus travel is free.

Walking

From the center of Sölden (e.g., near the Freizeit Arena), Camping Sölden is about a 15-20 minute walk. Head south on Gemeindestraße, cross the bridge over the Ötztaler Ache, and continue onto Wohlfahrtstraße. The campsite will be on your right. The walk is relatively flat and easy.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Sölden. A taxi from the Sölden Postamt bus station to Camping Sölden will take only a few minutes and cost approximately €10-€15. Taxi stands are located near the main bus station and in the town center.

Driving

From the main road (B186) through the Ötztal Valley, turn onto Wohlfahrtstraße in Sölden. Follow Wohlfahrtstraße; the campsite will be on your right. Camping Sölden offers limited free outdoor parking spaces and a video-monitored underground parking garage. Garage parking costs around €15 per day. Paid day parking is available at the Freizeit Arena Sölden for €6.

The campsite's history dates back to 1961 when soldiers stationed in Sölden as border guards first camped in the area. A Dutch guest's request to stay there led to the establishment of the campsite. Over the years, Camping Sölden has evolved, adding modern sanitary facilities, a wellness area, and even an underground car park. Today, Camping Sölden spans 1.3 hectares and offers 94 pitches, including comfort and premium options. The terraced layout provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Campers can enjoy amenities such as free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and access to a luxury sanitary building. The campsite is also conveniently located just 200 meters from the Gaislachkogl cable car, providing easy access to the Sölden ski area and hiking trails.Whether you're a winter sports enthusiast or a summer adventurer, Camping Sölden offers a perfect base for exploring the Ötztal Alps. In winter, enjoy guaranteed snow and access to over 148 km of ski runs. In summer, discover numerous hiking and biking trails, with the Bike Republic Sölden just a short distance away. After a day of activities, relax in the campsite's wellness area, complete with saunas, a steam room, and an infrared cabin.
