From the Gaislachkogl Gondola middle station, follow the well-marked hiking trail for approximately 45 minutes to Hühnersteign. The path offers scenic views of the Ötztal Alps. Alternatively, from Hochsölden, take the Panorama Trail for about 45 minutes to reach the hut. No costs are associated with walking.

Take the bus from Sölden to the Gletscherstraße toll station. From there, it's a short, approximately 3-minute walk to Hühnersteign. Bus tickets within the Ötztal Valley cost approximately €4. Check the VVT (Verkehrsverbund Tirol) route planner for the most up-to-date schedules and fares.
