Public Transport

From Innsbruck or Ötztal-Bahnhof, take the public bus to Sölden. From Sölden, local hiking buses or hut taxis can take you closer to Stockkogel trailheads. A Guest Card provides free use of the public bus lines. Bus services from Ötztal Bahnhof to Sölden run frequently, approximately every 15 minutes during peak times. A single bus ticket from Ötztal Bahnhof to Sölden costs approximately €6-€10. Check the Ötztaler Verkehrsgesellschaft for the latest schedules.

Car

From Ötztal, drive southwest on the B186 towards Sölden. Continue past Sölden, following signs for the Ötztal Glacier Road (Ötztaler Gletscherstraße) if heading to trailheads at higher elevations. Be aware of toll fees on certain roads. Parking is available near trailheads, with fees typically around €5-€10 per day.

Cable Car

From Sölden, several cable cars provide access to higher starting points for hikes around Stockkogel. Take a gondola from Sölden to Giggijoch or Gaislachkogl, then follow marked trails towards Stockkogel. A round-trip gondola ticket costs approximately €20-€30.
