Public Transport

From the Sölden Postamt (central bus stop), the Giggijochbahn is a short walk. Alternatively, use the local bus (free with Guest Card) for a quicker ride to the Giggijochbahn valley station. For Gaislachkoglbahn, take the bus one stop further from Postamt. A single bus fare without a Guest Card costs approximately €3-€6.

Walking

From most accommodations in central Sölden, the Bergbahnen Sölden lift stations (Giggijochbahn and Gaislachkoglbahn) are easily accessible on foot. Follow signs towards the respective lift stations. The walk to either lift typically takes 10-20 minutes, depending on your location.

Taxi/Ride-Share

Taxis are readily available in Sölden. A short taxi ride from anywhere in Sölden to either the Giggijochbahn or Gaislachkoglbahn valley station will cost approximately €10-€15. Ride-sharing services are not widely available in Sölden.

Driving

If driving, follow signs to Sölden and then to the Bergbahnen Sölden lift stations. Ample paid parking is available at both the Giggijochbahn and Gaislachkoglbahn valley stations. Parking fees range from €4 for 4 hours to €6 for a full day (8:00 am - 8:00 pm). Overnight parking is available in parking garages for €10 (8:00 pm - 8:00 am) or €16 for 24 hours.

Bergbahnen Sölden is more than just a ski resort; it's a gateway to unforgettable alpine experiences in the heart of the Ötztal Valley. Founded shortly after World War II, Bergbahnen Sölden has grown into a leading cable car company in the Alps. Today, it boasts 31 lift systems capable of transporting up to 65,000 people per hour to over 143 kilometers of slopes.The resort is renowned for its exceptional skiing, with slopes catering to all skill levels. Skiers and snowboarders can explore the expansive terrain, including two glacier ski areas, the Rettenbachferner and Tiefenbachferner, ensuring a long ski season from September to May. Advanced skiers can test their skills on the World Cup slope on the Rettenbach Glacier.Bergbahnen Sölden also offers access to the BIG3, three peaks over 3,000 meters accessible by modern cable car systems: Gaislachkogl (3,048 m), Tiefenbachkogl (3,250 m), and Schwarze Schneid (3,340 m). Each peak offers unique panoramic views and experiences, including the 007 ELEMENTS James Bond adventure world on the summit of Gaislachkogl.Beyond skiing, Bergbahnen Sölden provides a variety of activities, including hiking trails and mountain restaurants. The area is known for hosting top events and festivals, such as the Electric Mountain Festival.
