Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from Neustift im Stubaital. Head southeast on the L9 road towards the Stubai Glacier. Follow the signs for the Stubai Glacier and continue for about 15 kilometers. You will reach the parking area at the base of the Stubai Glacier, where you can park your car (note that there may be a parking fee). From here, take the glacier cable car to the top station, which is the starting point for various hikes, including those leading towards Wilder Freiger.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Stubaital bus (Line 590) from Innsbruck to Neustift im Stubaital. Once you arrive in Neustift, transfer to the bus heading to the Stubai Glacier (this is also Line 590, but be sure to check the schedule). The bus will take you directly to the Stubai Glacier cable car station. After arriving at the station, you can purchase a ticket for the cable car that will take you to the top. Keep in mind that the whole round trip for the cable car may cost around €30 per person.

If you're feeling adventurous and are already at the Stubai Glacier top station, you can start your hike towards Wilder Freiger. Follow the marked hiking trails that lead towards the mountain.
