Walking
From Hauptplatz, Graz's main square, walk north along Herrengasse, the main shopping street. Turn left onto Hofgasse and continue until you reach the entrance to the Graz Burg courtyard on your left. The Double Spiral Staircase is located within the courtyard. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes and is easily navigable. Orientation is aided by the presence of the Graz Cathedral and the Landhaus building nearby.

If arriving by tram, the closest stop is Jakominiplatz, a central transportation hub. From Jakominiplatz, take any tram heading towards Hauptplatz (one stop). From Hauptplatz, follow the walking directions above. A single tram fare within Zone 101 (which includes the city center) costs €3.00.
