There is parking available in the town of Dürnstein, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around €5 for the day.

To get to Dürnstein Castle using public transport, take a train from Baden to Krems an der Donau. Trains run frequently; check schedules on the ÖBB website or app. Once in Krems, transfer to bus number 720 or 721 towards Dürnstein. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. After disembarking at the Dürnstein stop, it’s a short walk (about 10 minutes) uphill to the castle. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips, as services may vary.
