The current winery has been in the family since 1919. Today, Weingut Hermenegild Mang is run by brothers Alexander and Hermenegild Mang. Alexander, a master winemaker, oversees the vineyards with sustainable practices, while Hermenegild and his wife Elisabeth manage the heuriger, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.The winery's location along the Danube River and the terraced vineyards contribute to the unique microclimate ideal for producing Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, the region's signature grapes. Visitors can sample a range of wines, from the nuanced Federspiel to the complex Smaragd, each reflecting the character of the Wachau. In addition to wine, the heuriger offers traditional Austrian cuisine, including Wachauer Saumaise and Mohnzelten, perfect for pairing with the estate's wines.
