Erlebnispark Gänserndorf is a sprawling outdoor adventure park located in Gänserndorf, Lower Austria, a short distance from Vienna. Situated on the site of a former safari park, it has evolved into a multifaceted destination offering a wide array of activities suitable for visitors of all ages and interests. The park's history is rooted in the legacy of the safari park that once occupied the grounds. After the safari park closed in 2004, the Angerer brothers, Christian and Werner, transformed the area into the Erlebnispark Gänserndorf, opening its doors in 2011. Their vision was to create a space where families could reconnect with nature and enjoy a variety of outdoor pursuits. Today, Erlebnispark Gänserndorf spans 15 hectares of forest and meadowland, providing a natural setting for its diverse attractions. The park is designed to cater to a wide range of preferences, from adrenaline-pumping adventures to more relaxed and family-friendly activities. One of the park's main draws is its Waldklettergarten, or forest climbing garden. This high ropes course features 90 platforms set among the trees, with varying levels of difficulty to challenge climbers of all skill levels. Eight different courses and eight Flying Fox zip lines, totaling 800 meters in length, offer thrilling experiences for those seeking an aerial adventure. For those who prefer ground-based activities, the park offers a 3D Tiere Bogensafari, where visitors can test their archery skills by aiming at lifelike animal targets in a natural woodland setting. This activity combines the focus and precision of archery with the excitement of a safari adventure. Families with young children will find plenty to keep them entertained, including an Abenteuerspielplatz (adventure playground) with a variety of climbing structures, slides, and other play equipment. A Streichelzoo (petting zoo) allows children to interact with friendly animals such as goats, sheep, chickens, and even llamas. Other attractions at Erlebnispark Gänserndorf include Disc Golf, Gummistiefel Golf, a Slackline Parcours, trampolines, a children's go-kart track and a virtual reality room. There is also laser tag, bubble soccer and arrow tag. The park also caters to groups and events, offering team-building activities, company outings, and birthday parties.
