Naturpark Nordwald, located on the western edge of the Waldviertel highlands, offers visitors a unique landscape reminiscent of Scandinavia. The 750-hectare park features dense coniferous forests interspersed with farmland, meadows, ponds, and moorlands. Bizarre rock formations add to the area's distinctive character.The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including various species of insects, birds, and large mammals such as wild boars, deer and roe deer. Rare animal and plant species, such as the Bohemian Forest sheep and the gentian, can also be found within the park's boundaries.
