From the parking area near Ober Neustift, follow the well-marked path into the Neuwald forest. The trail leads directly to the Steinpyramide, approximately a 15-20 minute walk. The path is mostly flat and easy to navigate. No costs are associated with walking to the pyramid.
Public Transport
Take a bus to Groß Gerungs. From there, you can hike or take a taxi to Ober Neustift. From Ober Neustift follow the walking directions. Bus fares vary depending on the origin, but a single trip from Zwettl to Groß Gerungs costs approximately €4-6. A short taxi ride from Groß Gerungs to Ober Neustift will cost around €15-20.
Driving
From Zwettl, take B38 towards Groß Gerungs. Follow the signs to Ober Neustift. Once in Ober Neustift, follow signs for the Steinpyramide. There is a parking area near the forest entrance. Parking is free. Note that the road to Ober Neustift is a typical rural road, so drive carefully.
