Operated by the Stadtgemeinde Haag, the park emphasizes spacious, naturalistic enclosures, providing ample room for the animals and exceptional viewing opportunities for visitors. The park is home to native wildlife such as brown bears, wolves, lynx, and various hoofed animals like Alpine ibex and deer. Exotic species include majestic lions, Siberian tigers (the world's largest cat), playful monkeys, and graceful giraffes. A highlight for children is the petting zoo, where they can interact with friendly alpacas, llamas, goats, and ponies. The newly constructed monkey enclosures house entertaining baboons and Barbary apes, whose antics delight visitors of all ages. The Tierpark also offers several attractions, including a children's adventure playground with obstacle courses, a Big Cat Trail featuring leopards, pumas, tigers, lynx, and lions, and a birdcall trail. From March to October, visitors can even fish in the Jochteich Pond.
