    To reach Wilder See by car, start from Bressanone (Brixen). Take the SS12 road towards Mühlbach. After approximately 10 km, turn left onto the road towards Lago di Selvaggio. Follow the signs for Wilder See. There is a parking area near the lake, and parking is free.

  • Public Transport & Hiking

    For public transportation, take a train from Bolzano to Bressanone (Brixen). Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. From Bressanone, catch a bus (Line 313) to Mühlbach. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Mühlbach - Centro' and walk for approximately 1.5 km along the marked trail to reach Wilder See. The trail is well-marked and takes around 30-40 minutes to walk. A single bus fare is approximately €2-€4.

  • Driving & Hiking via Fane Alm

    From Mühlbach, drive towards Vals/Valles. Continue to the end of the Valsertal valley where you'll find the Berg am Boden car park. Parking here costs €8 per car. From the parking area, follow the road or the 'Milchsteig' (Milk Trail) to Fane Alm, about a 1-hour walk. From Fane Alm, follow trail no. 17 through the Schramme gorge, then trail no. 18 along the Seebach brook towards the Labesebenalm mountain hut. Continue to Wilder See. The hike from Fane Alm to Wilder See takes approximately 3-4 hours.
