Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Zell am See, head to the Zell am See train station. Once at the station, take the regional bus line 660 towards Kaprun. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Alight at the Kaprun Postplatz bus stop. From there, walk along the main road, Dorfstraße, in the direction of the Kaprun Castle (Burg Kaprun). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Maiskogel mountain. Follow this road, which will start ascending. After about 25 minutes of walking, you will see signs for Rettenzink. Follow the signs until you reach the destination.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle in Zell am See, preferably from a local rental shop near the lake. Head towards Kaprun by following the designated bike path that runs alongside the main road. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the route to Kaprun. After about 30-40 minutes of cycling, you will reach Kaprun. Continue on the bike path that leads to the Maiskogel area. Once you arrive in the vicinity of the Maiskogel ski area, follow the signs for Rettenzink. It should take about 10 more minutes of cycling to reach the destination.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Zell am See to Rettenzink. You can easily find taxi services in the town center or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. The taxi ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to show the driver the address: 5672 Kaprun, as they may be familiar with the location. This is the quickest option for reaching Rettenzink without any walking or cycling.
