From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the entrance of the Zauberwald. Bus 846 departs every four hours. A single bus fare costs approximately €3-5.

If you are in Ramsau, you can walk to the Zauberwald following the signs towards Hintersee. The trail leads through the village and into the forest. From the center of Ramsau, the walk to the Zauberwald takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. The path is well-maintained, but sturdy shoes are recommended.

From Berchtesgaden, a taxi to the Zauberwald takes about 16 minutes and costs between €30-40. Taxis are readily available at the Berchtesgaden train station. From Ramsau, a taxi to the Zauberwald will be less expensive, costing around €10-12.
