Walking
From the Kufstein train station, exit and head south on Bahnhofstraße. Turn left onto Königstraße and follow the signs to Festung Kufstein. The walk is approximately 15 minutes and involves a moderate uphill climb.
Public Transport
From Kufstein train station, take bus line 1 or 2 to the 'Festung' stop, which is closer to the fortress entrance. Bus tickets cost approximately €1-€3. Alternatively, take bus line 4 from Kufstein Bahnhof A to Kufstein Oberer Stadtplatz. This bus departs once daily and costs €1-€3.
Taxi
A taxi from Kufstein train station to Kufstein Fortress costs approximately €10-€15, depending on traffic and the taxi company. The ride takes about 5-10 minutes.
Driving
From the A12 motorway, take the Kufstein Süd exit and follow signs towards the city center. Public parking spaces and garages are available in the center of Kufstein. Parking garages include Zentrumsgarage, Altstadtgarage and Kufstein Galerien. Parking fees vary, with short-term parking zones charging hourly rates during the week. Be aware that a 'vignette' tax disc is required on the A12 motorway.
