Driving
From Baku, head north on the M1 highway. Continue for approximately 127 km. Exit towards Shabran and follow signs for Chirag Gala. Be aware that the final approach involves navigating rocky terrain, making it nearly impossible to reach the fortress directly by vehicle. Parking is available near the base of the mountain, from which you'll need to hike.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Baku International Bus Terminal to Shabran. Buses depart approximately every 3 hours and cost around 9-13 AZN. From Shabran, hire a taxi to the base of Chirag Gala mountain. A taxi ride should cost approximately 10-15 AZN. From there, it's a 6 km hike to the fortress.
Walking
From the village of Dashli Yanar, near Siyazan, a 6 km hiking trail leads to Chirag Gala. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on fitness level, through rocky trails. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and are prepared for a moderately challenging trek.
