    The final approach to Qaranohur Lake is exclusively on foot, involving a 5-6 km hike from Talistan village. From the center of Talistan, follow the marked trail leading into Shahdag National Park. The path gradually ascends through a pistachio forest, crossing a riverbed (often dry in late summer). Continue past the forest, following the trail alongside a high rock wall with mountain views. The final section becomes steeper as you approach the lake. Note that a park entrance ticket is required, obtainable at the park entrance in Talistan village. There are no entrance fees to the park itself.

    To reach Qaranohur Lake using public transport, begin in Gabala and take a bus to Qaranohur. Head to the Gabala Bus Station near Gabala Central Park. Buses to Qaranohur run regularly, but confirm with the driver that the bus goes to Qaranohur. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. From the Qaranohur stop, follow signs to the lake, a short walk from the bus stop. Bus fare is approximately 1-2 AZN.
