Public Transport
To reach Afurdzhi Falls via public transport, start at the main bus station in Quba city center, near the Quba Mosque. Look for a bus heading towards Qırızdəhnə. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and the fare is around 1-2 AZN. Inform the driver you wish to get off at the closest stop to Afurdzhi Falls in Qırızdəhnə. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 20-30 minute walk to the falls. Follow the main road through the village, asking locals for directions as needed. The path leading to the falls is well-known.
Taxi/Ride-Share
From Quba city center, a taxi or ride-share is a convenient way to reach Afurdzhi Falls. Taxis are readily available near the Quba Mosque. Negotiate the fare beforehand, as meters may not be used. A one-way trip to Qırızdəhnə, the village closest to the falls, should cost approximately 15-20 AZN. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, dropping you off near the trailhead. From there, it's a 20-30 minute walk to the falls. Be aware that the road to the village and the falls can be bumpy, so an off-road vehicle is preferable. Confirm with the driver if they can take you closer to the falls, potentially saving some walking time. No tolls or parking fees apply.
Walking
If you are already in Qırızdəhnə, the final approach to Afurdzhi Falls is a pleasant walk. From the village center, head towards the main road leading out of the village in the direction of the mountains. Follow the signs for the hiking trails to Afurdzhi Falls. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes, offering scenic views of the surrounding landscape. The path is mostly uphill and can be rocky in places, so wear comfortable and sturdy shoes. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the falls.
