These three flame-shaped skyscrapers pay homage to Azerbaijan's historical connection to fire, rooted in ancient Zoroastrian worship and the region's natural gas reserves. The towers represent the elements of fire: past, present, and future. Construction of the Flame Towers began in 2007 and concluded in 2012. Designed by HOK architects, the towers serve different functions. The tallest, at 182 meters (597 feet), is a residential tower with 130 luxury apartments.
