Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex: A Journey Through Time

Nestled in the charming town of Dubandi, not far from Baku, the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex is a captivating open-air museum that vividly portrays Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage. The complex spans a considerable area and meticulously recreates various aspects of Azerbaijani life from ancient times to the more recent past, offering visitors an immersive journey through the country's diverse history. The museum complex is divided into distinct sections, each representing a different period or theme. One of the main attractions is the reconstruction of ancient settlements, showcasing the architectural styles and living conditions of the early inhabitants of the Absheron Peninsula. These settlements feature dwellings, workshops, and other structures built using traditional materials and techniques, providing an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of people who lived in this region centuries ago. Visitors can explore traditional Azerbaijani houses, craftsmen's workshops, and a replica of a medieval castle.
