Public Transport
From Stepanakert, take a Marshrutky (minibus) heading towards Askeran. Marshrutkys depart regularly from the main bus station on Azatamartikneri Poghota in Stepanakert. The ride to Askeran takes approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off near the fortress; from the drop-off point, it's a 25-30 minute walk to the fortress. Marshrutky fare is approximately 1-2 AZN.

Taxis and ride-sharing services are available in Stepanakert. A taxi ride to Askeran Fortress will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Agree on a fare with the driver before starting your journey; the estimated cost is between 1500-2000 AMD. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance of the fortress.

Driving
From Stepanakert, the most direct route to Askeran Fortress is via the main highway heading northeast. The drive is approximately 14 km and should take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. Follow the signs towards Askeran. Once you arrive in Askeran, the fortress is visible from the road. Parking is available near the fortress entrance. Be aware that the road leading directly to the fortress may be unpaved in sections.
