The garden features approximately 200 plant species, carefully selected from subtropical and desert climates around the globe, including the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa. The plants are arranged in a cascading display, creating a living tapestry of colors and textures. Pathways wind through the garden, allowing visitors to appreciate the intricate details. The garden also houses the 'Green Corner', an archival library dedicated to preserving Bahrain's art history and environmental sciences. The project was funded with support from the UAE to honor Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
