The Vertical Garden is located on Sh Abdulla Ave in Muharraq. From the Muharraq Souq, walk approximately 5-10 minutes east along Sh Abdulla Ave. The garden will be on your right. Note that parking can be challenging due to construction in the area. Consider walking from nearby attractions or using public transportation.

Public Transport

Several bus lines serve Muharraq. From Manama, take bus A1 or A2 towards Muharraq. Alight at a stop near Muharraq Park, which is a short walk to Sh Abdulla Ave. From the bus stop, walk east on Sh Abdulla Ave for a few minutes to reach the Vertical Garden. A single bus fare costs approximately 0.20 BHD.

Taxi/Ride-sharing

Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available in Muharraq. From Bahrain International Airport, a taxi ride to the Vertical Garden takes about 5-10 minutes. Expect to pay around 7-9 BHD for the trip. Ensure the driver knows the location on Sh Abdulla Ave near the Shaikh Ebrahim Center.

Conceived by the Shaikh Ebrahim Bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa Center for Culture and Research, this unique garden offers a refreshing contrast to the arid landscape, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a world of vibrant flora.Designed by a French landscape architect, the Vertical Garden is considered to be the first of its kind in the Middle East. It seeks to recreate the lushness of Bahrain's historical oases, providing a green gateway to the ancient city of Muharraq. The garden features approximately 200 plant species, carefully selected from subtropical and desert climates around the globe, including the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa.The plants are arranged in a cascading display, creating a living tapestry of colors and textures. Pathways wind through the garden, allowing visitors to appreciate the intricate details. The garden also houses the 'Green Corner', an archival library dedicated to preserving Bahrain's art history and environmental sciences. The project was funded with support from the UAE to honor Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
