Founded in 1990 by Dr. Abdul Latif Jassim Kanoo, the complex serves as a beacon of Islamic art, culture, and scholarship, attracting visitors worldwide.The museum's architecture blends traditional Islamic design with modern aesthetics, featuring intricate Arabic calligraphy and a minaret inspired by the Al Khamis Mosque. Inside, ten exhibition halls display rare Quranic manuscripts dating back to the 7th century, along with examples of Islamic calligraphy, ceramics, metalwork, and textiles. Highlights include a rare manuscript from the time of Caliph Uthman and early European translations of the Quran.Beit Al Quran also houses a library with over 50,000 books in Arabic, English, and French, covering Islamic history, art, and culture. The complex includes the Abdul Rahman Jassim Kanoo Mosque, an auditorium for events, and the Al Hayat School for Quranic studies, making it a center for education and community engagement.
