  • Boat

    Most visitors start their journey to Jamtola Beach from Khulna or Mongla. From either city, arrange a tour with a local operator who will provide transport via boat through the Sundarbans riverways. These tours typically include all necessary permits, guides, and forest guard fees. A typical 2 night, 3-day tour package including transport, accommodation and food costs approximately 7,500 to 11,000 BDT per person on a non-AC vessel. Foreigners may have to pay an additional 9200 BDT for forest entry fees. From Kotka, a guided 2.5km trek through the forest leads to Jamtola Beach.

  • Walking

    From the Kotka watch tower, head north for approximately 3 kilometers through the dense Sundari, Gewa, Garan and Keora forests to reach Jamtola Beach. The walk takes about half an hour. This path will take you through mangrove forests and fern thickets where you might encounter deer herds, pigs, monkeys, and possibly tigers. There are no additional costs for walking.
