Opened to the public in October 2014, the museum features a diverse collection of aircraft and artifacts related to the BAF's evolution and contributions to the nation. The museum's collection includes various aircraft from different periods, including those used during the Liberation War of 1971. Notable exhibits include the Bolaka, Bangladesh's first passenger aircraft; the Air Tourer, used for training; and the PT-6, a Chinese-made aircraft. Visitors can also see the Hunter Aircraft, gifted by the Indian Air Force after the Liberation War, and the Dakota Aircraft, a bomber used during the war. The museum comprises four galleries: the Air Force Gallery, the Liberation War Gallery, a gallery for medals and uniforms, and the Peacekeepers Corner. These galleries display photographs, documents, and materials related to the BAF's history, the Liberation War, and Bangladesh's role in international peacekeeping missions.
