Travel Guide to হাইল হাওর (ভাড়াউড়া)

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Lawachara National Park. Head southeast on the main road from the park entrance. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right fork, which will lead you towards the village of ভাড়াউড়া. Follow the road for another 3 kilometers, and you will see signs for হাইল হাওর. There will be a small parking area near the entrance, where you can park your car.

• Public Transportation

  From the Lawachara National Park area, you can catch a local bus or a shared auto-rickshaw heading towards ভাড়াউড়া. Look for buses that are marked with 'ভাড়াউড়া' on their fronts. The fare is approximately 50 BDT per person and the journey will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in ভাড়াউড়া, ask locals for directions to হাইল হাওর, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from the nearest bus stop in ভাড়াউড়া to হাইল হাওর, exit the bus and head east on the main road. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach a small path on the left that leads into the wetlands of হাইল হাওর. Follow this path for another 500 meters; you will see signs pointing to various viewpoints within the area. Be cautious of the muddy areas and wear appropriate footwear.
