Public Transport
To reach Sajek Valley, start from Dhaka and take a bus to Khagrachhari. Buses depart from various points in Dhaka, such as Gabtoli and Kalabagan, operated by transport companies like Shanti Paribahan, Saudia Paribahan, and Shyamoli. Non-AC bus fares range from 520 to 1000 BDT, while AC bus fares range from 700 to 1700 BDT. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours. From Khagrachhari, hire a 'Chander Gari' (jeep), CNG, or motorbike to Sajek Valley. A 'Chander Gari' costs between 8,000 to 10,000 BDT for a round trip and can accommodate 12-15 people. CNGs are available for smaller groups (2-3 people) at 4,000 to 5,000 BDT, but the road can be rough. The journey from Khagrachhari to Sajek takes 2-3 hours. All vehicles must get permission from the Baghaihat Army Camp before entering Sajek. Army escorts usually depart at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Ensure you reach the army camp before these times. There is no entrance fee for Sajek Valley itself.
