Getting There

• Car

  Start your journey from Rangamati town center. Head southeast on the main road (Rangamati-Kaptai Road) for about 10 kilometers. You'll pass scenic views along Kaptai Lake. Continue until you reach the sign for Mitinga Chhari Waterfall, which is marked along the road. Turn left onto the dirt road leading to the waterfall. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area. There might be a small parking fee, so keep some cash ready.

• Public Transportation

  From Rangamati town, take a local bus or a shared auto-rickshaw to Kaptai. Make sure to inform the driver you are heading to Mitinga Chhari Waterfall, as they are familiar with the route. The fare should be around 30-50 BDT. Once you reach Kaptai, you will need to hire a local rickshaw or a motorbike to take you the remaining 5 kilometers to the waterfall. The rickshaw fare can cost around 100-150 BDT. Ensure to agree on the fare beforehand.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, you can hike from the nearest transport stop in Kaptai to Mitinga Chhari Waterfall. It's a scenic 5-kilometer trek that will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the dirt path that leads from the main road towards the waterfall, keeping an eye out for signs or asking locals for directions. Wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven.
