Trekking/Chander Gari
From Ruma Bazar, the final approach to Boga Lake involves either a challenging trek of approximately 17 km or hiring a 'Chander Gari' (local jeep). The trek typically takes 6-8 hours, while the jeep ride takes around 2-3 hours depending on road conditions. Hiring a local guide is highly recommended for both options. The 'Chander Gari' can be hired for approximately BDT 1800-2000 for a reserved trip. Shared jeeps are available from 8 AM to 4 PM for around BDT 100 per person. Be prepared for a bumpy ride if opting for the 'Chander Gari', especially during the monsoon season when the roads can be treacherous. Note that during the monsoon, the 'Chander Gari' may not be able to reach all the way to Boga Lake, requiring a portion of the journey to be completed on foot.
