    From Hastings, head north on the main road, also known as Highway 7. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Pine Hill Road. Follow this road straight for about 600 meters until you reach the next roundabout. At this roundabout, continue straight onto the A1 highway (also known as the Bussa Highway). Keep walking for approximately 1.2 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Bridgetown. You will approach Chamberlain Bridge. The Independence Arch is located near the bridge, and you will see it clearly from the side of the road.
